Hi! I'm Quisha!

My passion for activating others was further ignited after starting my third business. It was only after incorporating some lessons learned from the nursing field that I finally found the secret sauce to efficient business practices that improved my business processes, made for an excellent client experience, and turned my business ideas into money-making ventures.

I am the CEO and Founder of Umemba Health LLC, Training Director of Umemba Health Academy, and former President of the non-profit organization, Diversity in Diabetes. (I guess you can call me a nursepreneur).

I defined my own version of success and created my own lanes that I thrive in! On any given day, I am a consultant, educator, speaker, trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach. (And those are just my professional roles!). I wear many hats and my guess is that you do too. I'd love to help you monetize your skillset to start and launch your service-based business.

More About Me

  • I started my medical career as a "candy striper" (hospital volunteer) at 16 years old.
  • At 17, I entered the Army Reserves on a split-option program. I have an "other than honorable" discharge from the Army now. (Long, but interesting story).
  • I turned down a full-ride scholarship to Oklahoma City University when I was 18 years old because "I was in love" and didn't want to leave him behind. (That romance was short-lived).
  • I got pregnant and married at 19 and forefited my dream of becoming a physician.
  • I got a certification in Medical Assisting before going on to get an Associates and Bachelors degree in Nursing.
  • I have a Masters in Public Health with an emphasis in human behavior and health education.
  • 90% of my degrees where obtained online as I always worked and raised my family full-time.
  • I consider myself to be a "social introvert". (I know it's hard to believe...Google it).
  • I had 2 failed businesses before Umemba Health LLC. (Third time was the charm in my case.).
  • I love learning! I am a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, a Certified Lifestyle Coach, and a Certified Community Health Worker Instructor.  I also hold a certificate in Health Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary and I am currently working on a Virtual Facilitation certification.
  • I have 20+ years in the healthcare/public health field so I guess you could say I am seasoned professional.
  • I have worked as a President of the Board of Directors for a non-profit, a volunteer Disaster Response Nurse Leader for the American Red Cross, a Clinic Coordinator for an endocrinology clinic, a Chief Nurse and Program Manager for a local health department, a Diabetes Nurse Consultant for a State health department, an RN Care Manager for a Federally Qualified Health Center, and a Clinical Programs Training Specialist for an Account Care Organization.
  • I refer to myself as a business and talent development coach/consultant because I have a gift for helping others realize their untapped potential!
  • I walked away from a 6-figure corporate job to build my public health consultancy and now I want to help others do the same!
So...as you can see, I am not much different than you. I'm a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend who wears a lot of hats and has a ton of lived experience. And I know that I am just one of hundreds of multi-passionate overachievers eager to monetize their skillset to make impact & income.

Thankfully I was smart enough to invest in myself early, blessed enough to get a good education, and stubborn enough to persevere through everything that life threw my way and I know you have too.

That's why I get it! I understand your struggles and frustrations. I know what it's like to want to do more, because your capable of doing more. I understand your desire to take what you know, what you have been through in life and use it to propel you to the next phase in your career, or to start that business you've always dreamed of starting...

Believe me when I say I feel you, because I do! Believe me when I also say IT's POSSIBLE! You just need help connecting the dots! It's time to STOP DREAMING and START DOING!
